Fremont police will partner with Taqueria Extra, which will donate 20% of sales to a breast cancer foundation, authorities said.
FREMONT, CA — The Fremont Police Department is collaborating with a taco shop to raise funds for a local foundation in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The "Let's Taco' Bout It" fundraiser will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Taqueria Extra on Wednesday, with 20% of all sales going to Fremont's HERS Breast Cancer Foundation, police said.
"Our fundraisers for the Pink Patch date back to 2017 and typically involve a Taco Bout It event and Pink Patch Merchandise available for donation gifts," a spokesperson with the Fremont Police Department told Patch. " It has become a tradition for us, and this year we are excited to partner with Taqueria Extra for the first time."
