Fremont Police To Ramp Up DUI Patrols Ahead Of Holiday Season

"If you're heading out to celebrate, don't risk it," police said.

FREMONT, CA — Fremont police say they will be ramping up patrols ahead of the holiday season to keep an eye out for anyone driving under the influence.

The Fremont Police Department sent out a public service announcement on Thursday, reminding drivers to celebrate the upcoming holidays responsibly and avoid drinking or taking any sort of drug before getting behind the wheel.

More officers will be on patrol in the coming weeks and will be on the lookout for drivers suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, police said.
