Fremont Police Work To Find Central Park Arsonist
East Bay Times said investigators believe someone intentionally set Central Park on fire last weekend.

FREMONT, CA -- Fremont investigators believe someone intentionally set Central Park on fire last weekend, the East Bay Times reported. The fire damaged a children's playground last Sunday.
"Authorities said a burned toilet paper roll was found underneath one of the heavily damaged slides after firefighters extinguished the blaze, leading investigators to deem the fire suspicious," East Bay Times reported. "On Friday morning, one of the plastic slides was missing and the other still stood melted. Ash and plastic debris had settled on the rubber playground floor, and the paneling on the bridges connecting to the faux tree were still visibly charred."
Police are still investigating the fire, the newspaper reported.
