Fremont Diner Named Best Of The East Bay

FREMONT, CA - Readers of Diablo Magazine named one Fremont restaurant the “Best of the East Bay” in 2023.

It's clear that the majority of Diablo Magazine's readership is in the interior East Bay with the majority of winners coming from towns such as Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Martinez and nearby cities.

Fremont scored just one win — and that's because it is part of a chain. In the Diner category, Black Bear Diner, located in Fremont at 5035 Mowry Ave., was chosen as the runner up. Take a look at their menus.

Each year, Diablo Magazine asks its readers to vote on everything they like in the East Bay, from restaurants to museums to bars to barbershops. Editors weighed in too, adding a detailed description of their favorites in each of the many categories.
