Alameda County Road Closed This Weekend For Burger And Brew Festival

A main road in Downtown Fremont will be closed all day to make way for a tasty festival.

FREMONT, CA — There will be a road closed from the early morning into the late evening Saturday in Downtown Fremont where the Burger and Brew Fest will be held, police said.

From 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Capitol Avenue will be closed from Liberty Street to Declaration Street, police said.

The Fremont Chamber of Commerce will host the Burger and Brew Fest from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Downtown Fremont in the Event Center Plaza from Liberty Street to State Street.

The 9th annual festival will celebrate Northern California’s variety of craft breweries. It will feature burgers, sliders, gourmet snack vendors, local business booths, art and craft vendors, live entertainment, a burger cooking competition known as the The Burger Throwdown, and, of course, samplings from Bay Area breweries and distilleries.
