Armed Suspect At-Large After Fremont Standoff
An hours-long standoff ended with a suspect on the loose.

FREMONT, CA -- A man accused of beating his girlfriend was at-large Saturday evening after an hours-long standoff.
The suspect, Thomas Beltran, 41, was was in an active standoff with Fremont officers on Saturday afternoon.
Officers responded to the scene after a woman called 911 around 9 a.m. to report that her boyfriend, Beltran, battered her. She told officers her boyfriend remained inside the house with a firearm, police said.

The suspect has a violent criminal history and active warrants, police said.
Residents in nearby homes were either evacuated or told to shelter in place. The scene was clear around 6 p.m. but the suspect was loose, police said.

Beltran is wanted for domestic battery, felon in possession of ammunition and a drug warrant.
