Fremont Unified Receives $277,000 Grant

The money will be used to complete the construction of the district's new professional development center.

The Fremont Unified School District will get a new professional development center, thanks to a recent $277,000 grant.

According to the Fremont Argus, the school district was awarded the grant from the Fremont Bank Foundation on Dec. 21. All of the money will be used to complete the construction of the center.

The new center is expected to be completed later this month and will feature an expanded facility for district staff to receive professional training, the newspaper reports.
