Hayward Restaurant Named Among Best In East Bay By SF Chronicle

HAYWARD, CA — If you are looking for fabulous South Asian food, the San Francisco Chronicle recommends Wah Jee Wah on Mission Boulevard in Hayward. The eatery made the list of “Top East Bay Restaurants” selected by their food critics.

Chef Rounak Dumra with such mouth-watering offerings as "charcoal-grilled skewers, which you can try in a combo plate ($24), or half Big Boy Platter ($60) to feed many."

Chicken legs, lamb seek, bouncy mushrooms and grilled paneer also received plaudits.

If you are keeping any eye on your food budget, you are in luck. "The menu is stacked with smaller, fun plates like roasted peanuts over a crisp, chickpea wafer papadum ($6), along with masala mac and cheese ($8). Chef Durma has a carousel of specials on offer, like a luxuriously creamy, acidic butter chicken ($14)."
