Man Found Severely Injured at Fremont BART Station
The 52-year-old man was transported to a hospital with life-threatening head trauma, police said.

Authorities are trying to piece together what happened after a 52-year-old man was found severely injured at the Fremont BART station early Wednesday morning.
According to BART police, a BART employee found the victim suffering from major, life-threatening head trauma at 3:20 a.m. outside of the paid area on the west side of the station.
The victim, whose last known residence is Hayward, was transported to a local hospital and later airlifted to a trauma center, said Ben Fairow, BART’s deputy chief of patrol operations.

The victim’s next of kin has been notified, Fairow added.
As the victim clings to his life, BART police are searching for clues and urging witnesses to come forward.
