Man Stabbed in Chest with Screwdriver in Road Rage Incident

The suspect fled the area and was not located.

A man sustained non-life threatening injuries after being stabbed in the chest with a screwdriver Tuesday night.

The crime was fueled by road rage, police said.

The incident was reported at around 5:55 p.m. when officers were sent to the area of Mission and Warm Springs boulevards.

Both the suspect and victim pulled into a 76 gas station following a road rage argument. That’s when the suspect approached the victim, who was sitting in the driver’s seat of his car, and stabbed him in the chest, according to the Fremont Police Department.

The suspect fled the area prior to officers’ arrival. No description was given in the initial report.

The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
