The suspects were going to put employees in a freezer but had a change of heart after the victims pleaded that it was too cold.

Two men armed with a handgun and wearing ski masks held up the Irvington Jack in the Box late Monday night.
According to the Fremont Police Department, the suspects entered the fast food restaurant, located at 41115 Fremont Blvd., at around 11:45 p.m. with their faces covered and gun in plain view.

One of the suspects pointed a small black semiautomatic handgun at a clerk and ordered the clerk to open the cash registers. The suspect removed the cash and stuffed it into a backpack, then ordered the clerk to take him to an upstairs safe while the other suspect stayed with an employee in the kitchen area.
After taking the money from the safe, the suspects ordered the employees to get inside of a walk-in freezer but had a change of heart when the victims pleaded that it was too cold, said Fremont police spokeswoman Geneva Bosques.
