Missing Bay Area Teen Found After Disappearing Almost 2 Weeks Ago

The police announced that the 16-year-old, who had been missing for weeks, was located.

FREMONT, CA — A 16-year-old girl missing since July 25, has been located and is "unharmed and safe, pending to be reunited with her family," the Fremont Police Department announced Thursday.

"We are grateful for everyone’s support and assistance during the search," the Fremont PD said.

More details will be shared as they become available, police said.

The teen was reported missing on July 26 by the FPD. She was last seen around 6:20 p.m. on July 25 at her home on Queens Park Court in Fremont.

Her family had set up a fundraiser to support the search for her.

“Every moment without her has been absolutely heartbreaking for the family. We are desperate to bring her home,” the family wrote on the "Help Bring Katie Home" GoFundMe page.
