New Affordable Housing Development Opens In Fremont
Granite Ridge Apartments' townhouse-style layout features 32 one-bedroom, 22 two-bedroom, and 19 three-bedroom rental apartment homes.

FREMONT, CA — Granite Ridge Apartments, Fremont's newest, affordable housing development hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of the complex last month, organizers announced in an email to Patch.com.
Eden Housing, in partnership with For the Future Housing and the City of Fremont, hosted the May 15 event in conjunction with National Affordable Housing Month and was attended by several local, county and state elected officials and field representatives, as well as other affordable housing advocates, providing a platform to mobilize and better understand the positive impacts affordable housing can bring to the community, the email said.
The ceremony was held at the Granite Ridge Apartments, located at the corner of Sequoia Road and Paseo Padre Parkway at 3135 Medina Common in Fremont.

"Those in attendance included field representatives of Senator Aisha Wahab and Assembly member Alex Lee; David Haubert, Alameda County Supervisor; Lily Mei, Mayor of the City of Fremont; Desrie Campbell and Raj Salwan, Councilmembers of the City of Fremont; and Linda Mandolini, President and CEO of Eden Housing," the email said.
Eden Housing’s resident service offerings include wellness, career, education, and financial literacy programming, Eden Housing said.

"The townhouse-style layout features 32 one-bedroom, 22 two-bedroom, and 19 three-bedroom rental apartment homes," Eden Housing said. "Units will be leased to households earning 20% to 60% of the area median income, equivalent to an annual income of $22,860 to $68,580 for a two-person household. The apartment complex will also feature several amenities including a community center, computer lab, playground, on-site laundry facility, bicycle storage, covered parking and more."
Funding for the Granite Ridge Apartments was received from the County of Alameda, the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee, Hudson Capital, Capital One and California Community Reinvestment Corporation.
