New East Bay Sandwich Shop Celebrates Its Grand Opening

FREMONT, CA — Sourdough & Co. is celebrating the grand opening of its new East Bay location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday. The free event takes place from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The casual dining spot, with sourdough bread a common theme in its sandwich and other food offerings, is the latest addition to Fremont’s Civic Center Drive.

“Sourdough & Co strives to bring the freshest and highest quality deli sandwiches to Fremont,” said the owner. “Renowned for our freshly baked sourdough bread, served warm, our deli style sandwiches feature an array of top quality meats, cheeses and produce topped with our delectable house spread."

Among the specialty sandwiches on the menu are the French dip, smoked brisket, caprese, crispy crunchy chicken and cranberry turkey. Traditional sandwiches available at the eatery include ham, turkey, roast beef, pastrami, veggie and tuna salad.

Sourdough & Co. also offers flatbreads (vegetable, BBQ chicken, Italian, mushroom and artichoke chicken); soup served daily and specific to the day of the week; several salads; and macaroni and cheese, described on the website as “the ultimate comfort food – elbow macaroni in a creamy, decadent cheese sauce” and served with slices of sourdough bread.

Sourdough & Co. has numerous Bay Area franchises, such as in Berkeley, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Concord and Dublin.
