New Fremont Public Safety Plan Announced

FREMONT, CA — The Fremont Police Department has unveiled its Strategic Plan for 2024-2027, with the goal of improving safety, increasing efficiency, and meeting the needs of the community.

Police Chief Sean Washington's plan centers on five goals:

• Mitigate the impact of crime and enhance community safety.
• Enhance officer recruitment and retention strategies.
• Provide staff support, wellness, training, mentoring and succession planning.
• Work to enhance operational excellence, efficiency, and accountability.
• Seek additional community engagement and communication opportunities.
