Police Say Woman Attacked in Home Was Victim of Attempted Sexual Assault
The incident was initially believed to have been a botched burglary.

A woman who was attacked while cleaning a home last week was not the victim of a botched burglary but that of an attempted sexual assault, police announced Wednesday.
The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on April 4 when an unknown suspect grabbed a woman from behind as she was cleaning an upstairs room in a home on the 34000 block of Spezia Terrace.

The masked suspect may have followed the victim into the home or may have been waiting for her inside the home, police said.
He was described as a male in his 30s with a medium complexion, about 5-foot-8 and 165 pounds with black hair in a bowl cut. He was wearing a dark grey hoodie, dark pants, black gloves and a mask.
Though no similar incidents have been reported, police are asking residents to remain cautious.
“While many aspects of the case will continue to remain confidential, we would like to reiterate the seriousness behind it. We would also like to ask our community to continue to remain alert and vigilant by calling us with any activity that appears suspicious,” police said.
