Public Invited To Police Captain's Memorial

One service will be held in Fremont and three more are scheduled for Tracy. Capt. Fred Bobbitt died unexpectedly in February.

FREMONT, CA — Four services have been scheduled to honor Fremont Police Capt. Fred Bobbitt, who died unexpectedly Feb. 21. The services are all open to the public.

The lone Fremont service, a Celebration of Life, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Harbor Light Church. The service will be live-streamed for those unable to attend.

Harbor Light Church is at 4760 Thornton Ave. in Fremont.

Overflow Parking is available at three locations:

  • St. James' Episcopal Church at 37051 Cabrillo Terrace.
  • The business plaza across the street from Thornton Ave.
  • The Pathway Community Church at 4500 Thornton Ave.

The other three services will be held in Tracy.

  • Gathering (Repast), 1 p.m. Saturday. Southwinds Church, 13400 W. Middle Road, Tracy.
