What would you do with $550 million dollars?

That’s the jackpot for the Saturday night drawing of Powerball, the newest game from the California Lottery.

With the introduction of Powerball to the state on April 8th, California becomes the 43rd state to to sell tickets.

In the history of Powerball, the highest jackpot reached $587.5 million, making this Saturday’s jackpot the second highest. According to the CA Lottery, the Powerball jackpot could get even higher before the drawing. Just a year ago, the Mega Millions jackpot reached $656 million.

While the jackpot hasn't been as big, the Tri-City area has had a few lucky winners.

In September, a Fremont couple won $52 million off of a Mega Millions ticket purchased at Kwik Stop on Walnut Avenue in Fremont.

In June of last year, a Fremont resident scored $2 million in the California Lottery's Replay program, which allows scratch-off ticket players whose tickets did not reveal a cash prize a second chance to win using information from their non-winning tickets.

If you won the Powerball jackpot, how would you spend the money?
