String Of Alameda Armed Robberies: Police Announce Arrest

At least five people were robbed at gunpoint as they walked alone, according to police.

ALAMEDA, CA — The Alameda Police Department arrested one person in connection with a string of armed robberies. Five separate robberies dating back to late September are linked to the suspect, according to detectives. In each case, the victim was walking alone when they were approached and threatened with what appeared to be a gun.

"On November 13, the Alameda Police Department executed a search and arrest warrant in both Alameda and Oakland," police said in the statement to the community. "During the search, officers located bank cards, a credit card scanner, and a replica firearm. The suspect was taken into custody."
