Suspicious Person Found in Backyard of Fremont Home, Sent to Wrong House by Pool Company
The victim called police after the man peeked into her windows and knocked on the door.
Fremont, CA— A woman called police Monday after a suspicious man entered the backyard of her Fremont home and began peeking through her windows, according to police.
Police said at 2:20 p.m. the woman contacted officers after a man knocked on her door at her residence on Verbena Court, before making his way into her backyard.
When the woman questioned the man, he said he was conducting a survey and then left the area.

Police said the woman told officers the suspect was driving a white pick-up truck and provided them with a license plate number.
Officers ran the plate number and learned that the vehicle was a rental, rented to a pool service company.

Police contacted the company and found that they had mistakenly sent their employee to the wrong address on Verbena Court.
According to police, further investigating by officers confirmed the story, and the legitimacy of the company.
