Three Arrested After Home Burglary
Home burglaries continue to be a problem in Fremont and many Bay Area communities.

Three men were arrested Tuesday after burglarizing a Fremont home thanks to the vigilance of neighbor, police said.
According to the Fremont Police Department, a citizen alerted authorities at about 1:10 p.m. that thee men were trying to break into a Parkmeadow Drive home.
The citizen heard a burglar alarm go off. When he looked outside, he saw the men hop over the neighbor’s fence and run to a white Lexus that was waiting nearby, police said.

An officer located the Lexus near Auto Mall Parkway and Grimmer Boulevard. Multiple officers and detective responded to the scene and performed a high-risk vehicle stop.
Three men — a 19-year-old from Union City, an 18-year-old from Oakland and a 27-year-old from Hayward — were arrested on suspicion of burglary. The 27-year-old was also arrested on a parole violation charge.

Burglaries continue to be a problem in Fremont, as in many Bay Area communities, police said.
According to the Fremont Police Department, more than 1,200 burglaries were reported in 2011. So far in 2012, an average of 106 burglaries are reported each month.
As of the end of July, 744 burglaries had already been reported this year, police said.
