Two Men Stabbed in Apartment Brawl
Police say a couple has been detained in connection to the stabbing.

A man was arrested after two men were stabbed at an apartment complex on the 39800 block of Fremont Boulevard just after midnight, police said.
According to Fremont police, an argument erupted at an apartment at Pathfinder Village among three men, two of whom did not live in the home. Police said the renter then stabbed two men, ages 20 and 24, who sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The man, identified as Mario Avanto, 22, of Fremont, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, said Det. Bill Veteran.
Authorities said it’s believed the man suspected of stabbing the pair was under the influence of drugs and that when he tried to escape from a bedroom window when officers first arrived. He eventually surrendered, police said.
