When is Rosh Hashanah?

The Jewish High Holiday begins this weekend.

Rosh Hashanah, the two-day celebration and time of personal reflection that marks the Jewish New Year, begins Sunday, Sept. 16.

If you are looking for ways to spend the holiday, look no further. There are a number of High Holiday events in the East Bay.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 16 AND MONDAY, SEPT. 17

Temple Beth Torah in Fremont is having a service at 8 p.m. on Sunday.

On Monday, the 50-year-old Jewish temple will hold a special morning service at 9:30 a.m. and a young children's service at Lake Elizabeth. The events will be followed by their Rosh Hashanah Tashlich is at 5 p.m., also at Lake Elizabeth.
