Where To Find Free Sandbags In Fremont

The City provides the bags and sand, you provide the shovel and muscle to fill the bags.

FREMONT, CA — A flood watch is in effect for Fremont starting at 4 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service, as an Atmospheric River takes aim at the Bay Area. In fact, rain is a possibility six of the next seven days.

The City of Fremont has stocked sandbags and sand at several locations. Bring your own shovel, and it's best to have two people get the sandbags since it's easier to fill them if one person holds the bag while the other person shovels in the sand. Limit: 10 bags per home or business.
