FREMONT, CA — Mother's Day is this Sunday and chances are your mom or grandma have a favorite pie. If baking from scratch is not your talent, there are local shops that serve incredible pies.
The Bay Area News Group recently put out a list of 12 pie shops to try around the Bay Area including Pie Dreams in Newark and Niles Pie Company in Union City.
If you want to stay in Fremont, Niles Pie Company frequents the Farmers Market here, and Beckmann's Bakery, also on the newspaper's list, is sold at Safeway, Whole Foods and Raley's. In fact, the in-store bakeries at local supermarkets do an impressive job of serving delicious and beautiful desserts.
