FREMONT, CA — A white Ford Taurus traveling south at high speed on Interstate Highway 880 collided with a southbound blue Prius and struck an embankment, killing the Ford's driver, the California Highway Patrol said Saturday.
The collision occurred about 8:38 p.m., just north of the Decoto Road west onramp, according to the CHP.
The Taurus driver was pronounced dead at the scene, Officer Kylie Musselman said. The Prius driver wasn't hurt and there were no other occupants in either car, she said.
