Arizona Man Sentenced to 12 Years For Molesting Glendora Boy
Matthew Lane Hatchard was arrested in April 2011 on suspicion of molesting a 13-year-old Glendora boy.

A Pomona judge sentenced to 12 years in prison on May 16 for molesting a 13-year-old Glendora boy in 2010.
Hatchard, 25 of Gilbert, Ariz., was sentenced for 11 counts that included oral copulation of a child, sodomy of a child and child molestation during a five-month period in 2010. Hatchard was arrested April 7, 2011 following a search warrant issued by detective Nancy Miranda. Gilbert detectives assisted in the arrest.
Police seized evidence including hundreds of images of child pornography, which could result in additional felony charges against Hatchard in Arizona, said Capt. Tim Staab.

“I think the letter did affect the judge’s sentencing,” said the victim’s mother who asked to remain anonymous to protect her son's identity. “[Martinez] went on about how moved he was about the father’s comments, I was shocked…I thought [Hatchard’s ] sentence was not enough for what he did.”
The victim’s mother said her son has been coping well since Hatchard’s arrest.
“He’s my hero,” said the victim's mother. “I’m proud that he was brave enough to come forward and help put this guy in jail.”
