The program was initiated as an opportunity to continue to maintain local parks and facilities despite. It is also offered as an opportunity for schools, church groups, scouts, youth organizations, individuals or anyone willing to give a little bit of their time and energy to get involved with their community.

The city offers several ways to Adopt-A-Park:

Improvements Sponsorship - Project ideas include planting native plants, painting park facilities, litter removal, weed removal, creating a garden, and routine maintenance of a park or facility.

Donations Sponsorship – Donate park amenities or memorial items such as trees, benches, picnic tables, shade structures, barbeques and much more.

Major Projects Sponsorship – Cover the cost of a large scale project such as; new playground equipment, field lighting or turf just to name a few.

The Community Services Department welcome all ideas and suggestions.
