Firefighters Extinguish Blaze in Glendora Attic

No injuries were reported in the empty home.

Los Angeles County Fire quickly knocked down an attic fire in an empty house in the 800 block on E. Northridge Ave. in Glendora Thursday afternoon.

The fire was sparked around 4:30 p.m. and was extinguished within minutes after firefighters arrived at the scene, said a Glendora Police.  No injuries were reported

Firefighters extinguished the blaze by 4:42 p.m.

Glendora Police on the scene said the fire originated in the home’s insulation in the attic, possibly caused by an malfunction in the home’s air conditioning unit.

The fire caused extensive damage to the home’s attic and burned a hole through the roof.
