Glendora Experiences Slight Growth in 2011

Glendora's population grew by 0.3 percent in 2011, according to a recent report.

In one year, Glendora’s population rose by just 0.3 percent, or 154 people, according to  the California Department of Finance population report released Tuesday.

The report puts Glendora’s population on Jan. 1, 2012 at 50,361. On Jan. 1, 2011, Glendora’s population was 50,207.

In 2010, the Census counted 50,073 people living in Glendora, just 658 people more than the city's population in 2000.

Glendora’s slow growth had been attributed by city officials to a fully built-out city and an aging population.

California's entire population reached 37.7 million, according to (KPCC) 89.3.
