Memorial Day DUI Arrests Yield ‘Steady’ Results
DUI arrests during the four-day Memorial day Weekend campaign remain nearly the same as the previous year.

Officers representing 100 county law enforcement agencies arrested 590 individuals during the four-day campaign from Friday, May 25 through Monday, May 28. According to a press statement, this number is provisional with several other agencies yet to report.

In 2011, 593 DUI arrests occurred during the same holiday weekend.
Law enforcement officials will conduct more Avoid anti-DUI efforts throughout the county and region during the July 4 holiday period and the 18-day summer campaign in August ending Labor Day weekend.
