Teacher Appreciation Week: Sellers Teacher Earns Recognition

During Teacher Appreciation Week, one teacher was recognized for her years of service at .

First grade teacher Donna Walker was awarded the Excellent Teacher Award from Image Orthodontics.

Mayor Gene Murabito and Superintendent Robert Voors presented the award to Walker in her classroom Tuesday morning.

“Every child is a learner,” said Walker. “Every child needs to be in an environment where learning is fun and it’s a safe place to be and they could grow at their own pace.”

“My greatest joy is watching children acquire literacy,” she said.
