Threat Made Against GHS Not Directed At Glendora High, Police Say

GLENDORA, CA — An online threat made against a "GHS" Wednesday was not targeting Glendora High School, according to the Glendora Police Department.

Authorities declined to reveal the nature of the threat but said it was against a "GHS" in a different school district.

"There is no active threat to Glendora High School, and the school is safe," police said.

During the investigation into the threat, extra police officers were sent to the high school out of an abundance of caution, according to Glendora Unified School District Superintendent Penelope DeLeon.

Although authorities did not say which "GHS" was the target of the threat, a 15-year-old girl in Connecticut was charged in a "disturbing message" incident at a Greenwich High School while police in South Carolina are investigating a social media threat made against a student at a Greenwood High School.
