• San Simeon Trail to get major upgrades at Hearst San Simeon State Park (ksby.com) — A Grover Beach–based contractor will handle a $1.2 million accessibility upgrade to the San Simeon Trail at Hearst San Simeon State Park, starting December 17. The work will improve boardwalks, trail surfaces, seating, and parking to meet federal accessibility standards. Expect temporary boardwalk closures near the Washburn Day Use lot while construction continues into April 2026.
