1. Grover Beach left controversial water project. Why it could still be built in city (sanluisobispo.com) — A scaled-back Central Coast Blue recycled water plant is still planned on Grover Beach land, even though the city withdrew from the project and won’t control its approval. Residents worry about property values, environmental risks, and lack of local hearings, while officials stress state oversight and potential long-term groundwater benefits for the region.
   

2. Artist and vendor applications now open for the 2026 Grover Beach Summer Concerts (ksby.com) — Grover Beach is already gearing up for its 2026 Summer Concert Series at Ramona Garden Park, and musicians and vendors can now apply to take part. The free, family-friendly concerts will run weekly from June 28 through August 23, with performer applications due January 16 and vendor applications due March 27.
   

3. County tax program seeking new volunteers (pasoroblesdailynews.com) — Free AARP Tax-Aide services are coming back to Grover Beach, and the program is already recruiting local volunteers to help prepare 2025 tax returns for seniors and low to moderate-income residents. Volunteers receive IRS training, can serve in-person at Grover Beach and other South County sites or from home in the virtual call center, and help keep thousands of dollars in refunds in the local economy.
   

4. Two Suspects Arrested on Robbery, Firearm Charges After Pismo Beach Shoplifting Incident (crimevoice.com) — Grover Beach police helped Pismo Beach officers track down two men suspected in an armed shoplifting incident at a 7-Eleven, leading to arrests and multiple felony charges. The suspects, from Los Banos and Winton, were booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on robbery, firearm, and drug-related counts after being located using license plate reader cameras.
