For a day of picturesque wildlife viewing, head to Gray Whale Cove State Beach, a serene spot nine miles north of Hwy 92 where gray whales can be spotted during their spring migration. Nestled in a small valley at “Devil’s Slide,” this 800-foot-long beach features white sands sheltered by cliffs.
