• Woman sought in violent Oakland carjacking (mercurynews.com) — A Half Moon Bay resident working as a rideshare driver was violently carjacked in downtown Oakland on October 1, suffering serious facial injuries that required several days of hospitalization. Oakland police have released a surveillance image and description of the woman suspected of attacking him and stealing his Toyota Prius, and are asking the public for tips to help identify her.
