WALNUT CREEK, CA — Walnut Creek police are investigating nine burglaries on Tuesday in at least two shopping centers.

Police responded to a commercial alarm at about 4:15 a.m. in the San Miguel Shopping Center.

Officers discovered multiple businesses had been burglarized.

While officers were investigating that burglary, they were dispatched to a second alarm at the Countrywood Shopping Center. There, officers located additional businesses that also showed signs of forced entry, Lt. Drew Olson said in a news release.

In total, nine businesses were identified as victims of burglary, according to Olson.
