Bacteria Warning During Rain: Beach Use Advisory In Hermosa Beach
All Los Angeles County beaches are under a beach use advisory due to increased bacteria and debris expected to hit the waters.

HERMOSA BEACH, CA — As a powerful storm hits Los Angeles County all beaches are under a water use advisory, including Hermosa Beach, county health officials said Friday.
A beach water use advisory is in effect through Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at all L.A. beaches.
Because of the recent rainfall, Los Angeles County Health Officer, Muntu Davis, MD, MPH, cautions residents that bacteria, chemicals, debris, trash, and other public health hazards from city streets and mountain areas are likely to contaminate ocean waters at and around discharging storm drains, creeks, and rivers after a rainfall. People who swim in the water in these areas could become ill.
