“The City moved quickly to remove these repulsive signs, and we thank the community for alerting us to their presence,” said Hermosa Beach Mayor Mike Detoy. “As a City, we firmly condemn this horrible act of hate and stand with our Jewish community in promoting tolerance and acceptance of all religions and people. In this season, we are reminded that love outlasts hate.”

Similar signs were posted in Manhattan Beach, and the Hermosa Beach Police Department is working with that city’s Police Department to investigate the incident. If any member of the community has further information or home video recordings of the person or persons posting the signs, which were apparently posted Wednesday night, please contact the Hermosa Beach Police Department at (310) 318-0360.
