• Skecher's Greenberg purchases lot on Aviation (easyreadernews.com) — A major new commercial project is coming to Hermosa Beach, as Skechers co-founder Michael Greenberg won city approval to replace an aging Aviation Boulevard building with a modern multi-tenant space and expanded parking. The project adds to the Greenberg family’s growing real estate and philanthropic presence in the Beach Cities, and includes traffic-safety conditions like a right-turn-only exit on Owosso Avenue.
   

• Woman accused of driving drunk and killing high school tennis star in Manhattan Beach charged (dailybreeze.com) — Hermosa Beach residents are closely connected to this tragedy: the teen killed in a suspected DUI crash in Manhattan Beach had recently moved here with his family after losing their home in a fire. Prosecutors have now charged the driver with murder and other counts following an investigation, while the victim’s parents pursue a civil lawsuit aimed at combating impaired driving.
