The City Council on Tuesday that requires a permit for motorists to park oversized vehicles, such as RVs, within city limits for up to 72 hours. Hermosa Beach Patch readers commented on the proposed parking guidelines.

"It's about time they did something about RVs. Parking is bad enough in the city without people storing their RVs on the street. Sorry, but if you want an RV, find a place to store it. People need those spots for the cars they use to drive to work. Wouldn't it solve the problem to just enforce the law about parking outside of the space? RVs don't fit in one space." — wrote .

Pop culture and 405 Freeway

Patch on Friday behind the area being shut down this weekend as part of the massive 405 Freeway closure. Readers weighed in on this trip down memory lane.

"Awesome to read some LA lore! Parts of Schwarzenegger's Commando were filmed at or near the Pass also. Rae Dawn Chong comes running out of SO Galleria back when they had that outside escalator. Then the car chase with Sally through Valley streets heading into the hills ends seemingly on Mulholland Drive above the Vally." — wrote .

"Great piece... I love articles like this that raise the IQ of all things Los Angeles. I have been traveling through the Sepulveda Pass since I can remember... what a great slice of LA. But Mike might have missed what could be the most highly displayed segment of the Sepulveda pass in all of cinema...a great (and fairly long) scene in the movie Bullit with Steve McQueen from, I think, 1968. The Holiday Inn at the Sunset off ramp had been a beacon for me." — wrote .
