Gas Prices Dip Slightly

Gasoline prices have dropped for 39 days straight in Los Angeles County—barely. The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline dropped one-tenth of a cent between Monday and Tuesday to $3.958.

That's the lowest overnight decrease since March 13, City News Service reported.

The average price is 4.5 cents less than it was last week and 28.8 cents less than it was last month, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The price is still 89.9 cents higher than it was last year at this time.

Gas prices have fallen 33.3 cents since the streak of decreases began May 7. Before the streak, the price of gas rose 43 times in 45 days.
