Hermosa Beach Charities Receive Donations from Chamber for Commerce
The chamber donated $36,000 to 10 organizations. The money was part of the proceeds from the 2016 Fiesta Hermosa.

HERMOSA BEACH, CA -- The Hermosa Beach Chamber Commerce and Visitors Bureau gave out $36,000 to 10 charitable organizations in the city at the City Council meeting last Thursday.
The money was part of the proceeds from the 2016 Fiesta Hermosa. The fiesta is held each Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend. For each Fiesta, local nonprofits apply for the opportunity to staff the Charity Beer and Wine Garden to raise money for their organizations. In exchange for their work, the Chamber donations a flat sum to each charity plus a portion of the tips received for both Fiestas.
The chamber donated $36,000 to 10 organizations for 2016. Each group received a check for $3,600. The groups receiving a donation this year are:
