Officers also cited unlicensed and suspended drivers, impounded 12 vehicles, and emphasized using ride-shares or other options instead of driving impaired.

Torrance teachers make deal with district over salary health insurance costs (dailybreeze.com) — Torrance Unified teachers have secured a modest 2.23% raise and a one-time $1,500 payment, plus a future boost in district health insurance contributions, after sharp cost increases cut into take-home pay. Hermosa Beach is cited as one of several nearby districts used for salary comparisons, as union leaders argue administrator pay and funding priorities should be revisited before full contract talks resume in January.
