Hermosa Beach Police K-9 Team Wins at Las Vegas K-9 Competition

The Las Vegas K-9 Trials is one of the oldest in the nation and feature teams from throughout the western United States.

HERMOSA BEACH, CA -- A Hermosa Beach police officer and his canine partner took the top spot in the Narcotic Searches contest at the 24th Annual Las Vegas Metro Police Department K-9 Trials two weeks ago.

Hermosa Beach police Officer George Brunn and his partner, Keef, also took third place in the Overall Top Narcotics Dogs category at the competition, held on Oct. 14-16. The contest involved timed searches in an office building for hidden drugs.

The Las Vegas K-9 Trials is one of the oldest in the nation and feature teams from throughout the western United States.

Brunn and Keef, an 8-year-old Labrador Retriever, have been working together since 2010.
