Landmark Hermosa: Ardmore Park

The small patch of green at 5th Street and Ardmore Avenue has been a part of the Hermosa Beach community for years, but it was given its name not too long ago.

The Hermosa Beach Woman’s Club in 2007 requested to name the area Ardmore Park, as well as purchase the sign for the city’s Public Works Department to install.

The Hermosa Beach Planning Commission unanimously approved the idea, according to archived meeting minutes.

Now locals can visit the park to walk their dogs, enjoy a picnic, or relax before or after jogging the adjacent greenbelt.
