E-waste recycling, car wash

Where and when: 325 S. Peck Ave., Manhattan Beach; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why go: Get rid of that old dusty VCR or monitor responsibly by dropping off your e-waste at this by the Mira Costa High School Football and Cheer programs along with All Green Electronics Recycling. And why not get a car wash, too?

Price: Free.

Irish party

Where and when: , 142 Pacific Coast Hwy., Hermosa Beach; Saturday, 9 p.m.

Why go: Can’t wait until St. Patrick’s Day? Neither can the Young Dubliners. The high energy Irish rock band will celebrate in grand style at , marking exactly six months to St. Paddy’s Day. Also performing will be Hoist the Colors and Lexington Field. 21 and over, please.

Price: $15 to $18.

Golden Heart Urban Race

Where and when: Hermosa Valley School, 1645 Valley Dr., Hermosa Beach; Sunday, 12 to 7 p.m.

Why go: Bring a group of four to six people and , obstacles and clues with , a parent-created organization dedicated to building a lifelong residential community for young people with special needs. Come to the Finish Line Party afterward.
