Volleyball Players Get into Halloween Spirit in Hermosa Beach

HERMOSA BEACH, CA -- Who says athletes can't get into the Halloween spirit? Just ask professional volleyball player Laryssa Mereszcazk.
The Hermosa Beach resident regularly plays volleyball at the beach with friends (which apparently includes professional beach volleyball player Jason Raney) every Sunday, but this past weekend the group decided to do something different in honor of Halloween.
"We decided to do a costume coed Sunday Funday. Lilly and Jason Raney's T-Rex costumes took the cake and had everyone on the strand of Hermosa Beach stopping to take pics and videos," Mereszcazk told San Diego's FOX 5. "I haven't laughed that hard in a while; it was hysterical."

She first sent the station the video before uploading it to YouTube.
T-Rex costumes have been making their way through pop culture of late. A San Diego Chargers cheerleader was spotted wearing the costume in Denver on Sunday. It didn't seem to help the Chargers, who lost to the Broncos, 19-27.
