Hermosa Beach resident and soccer star Abby Wambach broke Mia Hamm's all-time international scoring record of 158 goals on June 20th against Korea Republic. Wambach scored goals 159 and 160 as the U.S. women beat Korea 5-0 in Red Bull Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey.
The retired soccer star Hamm lives in Manhattan Beach with her husband Nomar Garciaparra and their children.
